This Course is recognised by The Association of Christian Counsellors Professional Body (Course No 53L2OCN)
This Foundation Course allows you to test out whether being a Counsellor is for you as well as providing you with basic Listening skills and will also provide access to year one Intermediate Course.
This course carries National Open College Credits (At Education level 2)

The basic concepts of counselling.
Recognise the need for self understanding and personal growth.
Understanding the key elements of Philippi and Egan Models of Counselling.
Appreciate how the counsellor's world view may affect the counselling process and relationships.
Some common approaches to counselling.
The need to work within moral, ethical, legal and professional boundaries.
A look at what is needed to maintain a supportive relationship.
Elements in the counsellor which will help or hinder the counselling process.
