I'm really struggling with NEWS and PHOTOS for this months newsletters. Do you have any?
LAURA HURLEY RACING NOVEMBER UPDATE

Well it will soon be Christmas! But hopefully we will have had a few more runners by then! The weather will surely break soon and then we will all be complaining how atrocious the ground is.

We have been quiet on the runners front but better to be patient and not injure the horses. Gwili Spar unfortunately unseated 5 out in a chase at Plumpton. The jockey reported that he was travelling well but slipped on landing at the fence I call 'the ski jump'. Hopefully we will have some more runners soon.

We hosted the Warwickshire Childrens' Meet in half term so several of the horses enjoyed a day's trail hunting.

Pepperello (right) now has a competitive handicap mark. Hopefully we can run him next time over 2 miles on his preferred soft ground. If he doesn't run to expectations his owner has plans to send him eventing in the spring and he would be worth getting involved with in either sphere if you know anyone interested.

Shannonside has done several pieces of work and has started to pop a few logs. As a 3 year old she will appreciate regular breaks to grow and think about what she has learnt. If all goes well we hope to run her in the new year.

We have a very exciting new horse in the yard. Vote of Confidence (USA) was bought at Ascot sales by my partner Patrick Barcoe and my mother Bronwen. He is a fine stamp of a horse with the form in the book. We are looking forward to sending him chasing but will try him first over hurdles whilst he is in good heart over the smaller obstacles. He will run for the Laura Hurley Club and there are still shares available.

Kindest Regards,
Laura
