Dog Jog 2010
The Woof Pack crew had a fantastic time at our booth at the Watauga Humane Society DOG JOG this year. It was a windy, but beautiful fall day and lots of folks came out with their dogs to participate in the dog jog, parades and contests! Woof Pack's mascot this year was Samson who I adopted from WHS in 2007, he skipped the jog (he only has 3 legs!), but got to be in the parade and he even won the "FLUFFIEST" dog contest! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to see what it is we love to do!

Doggone Safe Dog Bite Prevention Program Now Available
Doggone Safe is a non-profit organization
dedicated to dog bite prevention through education, and dog bite victim support.
Doggone Safe member Melissa MacKinnon of Woof Pack Pet Services is making the “Be a Tree” educational
programs available in the High Country. The “Be a Tree” program is an
innovative and interactive dog bite prevention education program aimed at
primary grade children. Half of all children are bitten by a dog by the time
they are 12 years old. Dog bites are considered to be a serious public health
problem by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Most bites are by the
family dog or other dog known to the child and can be prevented through
education. Both children and adults can benefit from understanding dog body
language and knowing how to act in situations involving dogs. For more information about Doggone Safe contact us at 828-773-4811 or www.woof-pack.net.
