Author Lori A. Moore -

Many blessings for you in 2012.  Have you made any resolutions?  My husband shared his New Year's resolutions with me last night and they're all for my benefit -- how lucky am I? I need to make some changes, but I'm not ready to declare them as resolutions for fear of breaking them.

Grady the Cat Cat

Grady is a little gray cat;

Grady's fur is gray, that's why his mommy named him that;

He isn't too skinny and he isn't too fat;

And he lives in a home with two other cats.

This book won Honorable Mention in the 2011 Readers Favorite Book Awards.

Missing Andy

"Missing Andy" is a love story that transcends life circumstances and life itself.  Lori shares about a love lost, love grieved, love intertwined, and love enduring. If you have ever grieved over the lost of a loved one, you will discover here that there is no one way to grieve. A must read for anyone who is struggling with processing grief or knows someone who is. Lori's testimony of God's faithfulness and grace along with her Scripture quotes will truly bless your heart.

Lori Moore's book, "From Zero to Christian in Just 35 Years," is an intimate, warts-and-all account of her journey to faith. One of the criticisms often leveled at "Church folk" is our tendency to wear our shiny happy people masks. That criticism is not entirely inaccurate, which is what makes Moore's book so refreshing. Her message is that God can heal the most painful wounds and that He is able to rescue us from even our very worst enemy--ourselves. And anyone with pre-conceived notions of how "those Christians" talk and act will find a surprise or two. This is not your typical Christian book because Moore has not lived your typical life.

Have You Missed Me?

Some of you were receiving my newsletter in 2011.  Did you wonder why you hadn't received any in six months?

After I returned from my trip to the Holy Land, I got pneumonia.  After that, I got lots of other stuff!  I  haven't felt well since June 2011 and had stopped all social media, all book marketing, everything.  It turns out I had a few minor things wrong, some of which they fixed.  I also had what seemed like hundreds of doctors appointments and tests for five months for any number of diseases, conditions, and maladies.

So now I'm feeling a little better, although I'm still very tired all of the time.  I'm starting 2012 with a positive attitude and going to make some lifestyle changes to keep myself healthier.

Having just graduated December 16th with my third Master's degree, I get a few months off before I take any more classes.  I'm just three courses short of another degree, so I'll be knocking those out this summer.  Here's my recent graduation photo.  I earned a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Campbellsville University.

With God, all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 (NIV)

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14 NIV)

Don't waste your life in doubts and fears: spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours or ages that follow it. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them.

Some people talk about "finding God," -- as if He could get lost!!

If you are not as close to God as you used to be, who moved?

You can tell the size of your God by looking at the size of your worry list.  This longer your list, the smaller your God.

Alaska - 2012

It's hard to top last year's trip to Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.  This year, I'm staying a little closer to home and once again admiring all that the beautiful state of Alaska has to offer.  It'll be my third trip there.  This trip will be a cruise through the glaciers.  How cool is that?  145 days and counting!!
