I have busy at updating the aMa-Architecture website to include additional pages and information you can use. For example, under 'referrals' I am now listing 'Contractors I Like To Work With'. This list is still growing so check back soon.
Also, visit my website to see under 'competitions' my entry for Architizer's "NYC Worst Bathroom" I didn't win, but hey, better luck next time is what I say. This includes drawings & finish samples.
News You Can Use:
- Do you have building or remodeling projects for spring that require an architect? Don't know if an architect is required for permit? NOW is the time to find out and get moving on those projects. Depending on the size of your project, planning & drawing can take weeks to months to complete. Permits can take an additional number of weeks or months on top of that.
- Not sure if you need a permit? If your project is within the City of Chicago, drop me an e-mail or give me a call, I would be happy to advise you.
- If your project is outside of the City of Chicago, just call your local building department and they can answer all your questions.
- Remember, it is always easier and cheaper to get a building permit ahead of time, rather than receiving a Stop Work Order from a Building Inspector and paying fines for working without a permit.

'The architect should strive continually to simplify; the ensemble of the rooms should then be carefully considered that comfort and utility may go hand in hand with beauty.
