How is Hawaiian massage different from other massage?

Hawaiian Ka huna massage like other massage is of great benefit to your health and wellbeing.  What makes Ka huna massage unique is the huna philosophy behind it.  An article by Tracey Lakainapali

notes that "a fundamental assumption of Huna is that everything seeks harmony and everything seeks love".  A common definition of Hawaiian Ka huna massage is "loving hands".  The intention and focus of the pracititioner to client is always with love, this allows a deep and complete healing to take place. This  work is done gently but deeply, with the long, continuous flowing stokes over the entire body enabling the client to totally let go. The energy created from the long flowing strokes combined with the loving touch creates a space for letting go of fears, old beliefs and patterns that are  blocking us from experiencing our highest reality.    Tracey Lakainapali noted that "People generally think of memory, beliefs, our "programming", as being stored in our head, in our brain. This is not the case, this memory and other programming is in fact stored in all the cells of our body".

The Hawaiians look at things in terms of energy flow.  A fearful belief or thought blocks energy flow and creates muscle tension.  Ka huna massage releases old stagnent energy and creates a space for ushering in new rejuvenated energy, with this old limiting beliefs are released and energy is directed to creating something new and positive leading to a higher reality for the client.  Subsequently tension in the body just melts away.  Thus Ka huna massage is not just a physical experience; it also facilitates healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels as well.   When we are disconnected and out of harmony this causes  pain, physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually.  Tracey Lakainapali states that "illness is a state of tension, which leads to resistance which blocks energy movement."

Ka huna massage helps release this and therefore faciliates deep healing.  On the physical level, stress and tension are relieved, blood and lymph flow assissted and the elimination of toxins stimulated.  This massage will rebalance and reconnect you, make you feel nurtured, happy and whole.  Taking healing to a whole new level and bringing you into an awareness of your highest potential.
